Spring Hockey Registration is Now Open!

WELCOME TO FOREST VIEW HOCKEY

Here at Forest View Hockey, our mission is to provide amateur hockey players with the knowledge and tools to successfully develop and refine their skillset during the offseason.

We get it - sometimes the hardest months for a hockey player are from the end of March to August - itching to get back on the ice and play the game we all love most.

Forest View Hockey offers your child the opportunity to continue their development post-season and find new skills prior to upcoming tryouts. We accept players of all skillsets from rec players to AAA - Forest View Hockey will work with your player in small group settings to help them excel within a fast-pace and competitive environment while having fun.

All Camps + Programs will take place at the YMCA of Northern Colorado. 2800 Dagny Way Lafayette, CO 80026.

WHAT WE OFFER

DAY CAMPS

Take a deep dive into the fundamentals of hockey with Forest View’s Hockey Day Camps - four (4) full days of back-to-back hockey split into four (4) different skill based sessions.

Our day camps focus on improving your child’s power skating skills - the most important skill in hockey. In addition, developing their skills in stick handling, shooting, and off-ice conditioning.

Each day will end with a team flow practice and scrimmage or a combination of small area games to put your child’s new skills into real-life situations.

SKILLS PROGRAM

Sign up for our weekly skills program - a great way to keep your player active this off season and refine their skills before the upcoming hockey season.

Our skills program offers one (1) hour ice sessions two-to-three times a week. These sessions will focus on high-performance training in skating, stick-handling, passing, shooting and body contact.

Each session will end with a 15-minute skills showcase, within a controlled scrimmage, to put that day’s new or refined skill to the test.

BATTLE CAMP

This camp is not just about body contact because we work on so much more than just that. This camp is all about using your body to protect the puck and gain an advantage over your opponent.

During our ice sessions we will focus on proper contact/checking technique, how to give and receive a hit, angling, and puck protection.

This camp is essential for 12U players moving up to 14U and any other players looking to play full contact competitive hockey. After six (6) sessions your player will be more confident in their physicality and much harder to play against.

Spring Hockey Teams

Forest View Hockey is proud to announce our spring development program! Spring hockey is the perfect opportunity for players to continue their development in the sport while having time to play other spring sports. We are firm believers in multi-sport athletes and have designed our program to take that into consideration.

Our spring program will focus on providing quality and positive experiences while improving players’ individual skillsets such as, skating, shooting, stickhandling, team and individual hockey IQ.

TESTIMONIALS

“The Forest View Hockey Staff crushed it. Each day my kids didn’t think they’d make it to the next day because their bodies hurt too bad. Lol. But they said they loved it and want to do more camps with Forest View Hockey.”

— Jess F.

“It was hard every day and fun at the same time. I think Forest View Hockey did a great job with camp! I like how much ice time the kids get and I like that they can come in and cool off with lunch after dryland. The minimal waiting in lines during drills was a huge bonus. I know the smaller group numbers helped with that, but also the way Forest View Hockey organized the drills made that possible.”

— Hana P.

“My kids really liked it! They said it was hard, especially dry land, but had fun. They said they felt like they learned a lot and got better. Great camp.”

— Katie L.

“Fantastic. Worth every penny. My kid had a fantastic time and even said he thinks he got better. He was excited to go to camp every morning and exhausted by the time he came home. It was a win win.”

— Linda S.
